Thrifty Wife, Hearty Life | ASOS Maternity dresses x2

After Poppy died, part of my coping techniques were to get rid of anything remotely connected to babies/pregnancy and so whilst I have a few larger normal tops, trousers with stretchy waist bands and the odd maternity item hidden in a box in the cellar, I am generally lacking significantly in “proper” maternity stuff, not to mention fashion and my personal style changes, and so now that I am into my second trimester and almost into my 15th week of pregnancy and I have reached that stage where no jeans fasten and things are generally too tight for me, I find I really don’t have many comfortable or season appropriate things to wear!

I decided at the end of last week to have a peruse on line and ended up on the ASOS site, I literally could have spent hundreds, but seen as I don’t have hundreds to spend, I went with just a couple of dresses and snapped up some good bargs to build my spring summer maternity look…

ASOS have great maternity stuff and it is excellent quality too. I had a few things in my last pregnancy and find that when they have sales that the offers are unbelievably cheap and affordable for any budget. They’re clothes are cool and they have an array to suit all styles!

Here is what I chose (on this occasion):
I really wanted a pinafore style dress in this pregnancy, but the one I originally saw on their site wasn’t in stock 🙁 this was my second choice for an every day chilled dress, I thought I could wear it now with leggings maybe and then as it gets warmer with pumps or sandals. WAS £28 and I paid £11

The next one was this more dressy number for summer time and to wear for church or any weddings we may have – I love the colour

So for £22 I have myself some lovely dresses for this ever growing bump, and I can’t wait to see what other lovely bits I pick up along the way!

Pics taken from ASOS site and this is not a sponsored post – just sharing some bargs that both happened to be from the same shop!
