Thrifty Wife, Hearty Life | A Zara Dress for £7.99

Last week wasn’t the best of weeks and so one of my friends called and asked if I fancied a couple of hours retail therapy and chats – I liked the idea and did need to go find something suitable for a funeral and my every growing body, but wondered if Megsie fancied it, thankfully she obliged as soon as we made the deal she could rent one of the shopping cars and so we wandered around the shopping centre in search for, perhaps a new outfit for the family funeral we had.

I am at that stage in Pregnancy where I can still wear a few regular things in larger sizes, but am heading towards needing a whole load of maternity wear for spring! I wanted to look in Zara just because I absolutely love it! It has to be in my top 3 of places I’d love to buy all of my clothes and I also really love this period of their SALES because it goes ridiculously cheap and bargainous for what is very well made and beautiful merchandise! I never expected to find anything to fit now… However my friend Leah found a right Gem for me and I LOVE it!

As soon as she showed me this dress I wanted it – I loved the colour, feel and design. I imagined it would make me look 90’s pregnant style and I thought that that was brilliant! I might have gone slightly nuts in the shop when the lady said “It’s £7.99”!! WHHHHAAAATTTTTTT £7.99 for a Zara dress?!?!

It is large so fits the bump with a few more weeks wear easily. And it looked sophisticated with a black polo neck jumper and opaque black tights for my father in laws funeral last week.

I wore it again Sunday for church with this stripy top and my monk shoes and I just feel so comfy in it!

Megs loves we have matching dresses now too, and I hope with spring I can experiment with pumps and a Tshirt underneath for a casual “Hi I am from the 90’s look”!
