Smiggle for Stocking Stuffers

If you have ever stepped foot in a Smiggle store then you will be very much aware of how fun and colourful their products are. From pencils, notebooks and fluffy diaries, to gadgets and games. They are the place of smiles and giggles, selling unique fashion-forward stationary, watches, drinks bottles and bags. Their brand boasts a host exciting things for every age and interest and are the perfect spot for some exciting “stocking stuffers” this Christmas.

For me, living here in Leeds I am fortunate enough to have one on my doorstep (obviously not literally but pretty close) and whenever I visit it brings so many feelings of nostalgia with their scented erasers and retro fluffy diaries. It always has the kids asking for everything they see and I love to go in just to look sometimes as I think that their products make the perfect gifts for both boys and girls who are interested in absolutely anything. It’s no wonder then that I went a little nuts when I opened a package from them recently to discover a host of lovely things for the Kids stockings this Christmas.

Stationary is something Ethan is obsessed with since starting school and its something I always love to include in their stockings at Christmas time. Stockings are a fairly new concept to me as growing up it was all about the pillow case – big or small, gifts went into our personally decorated pillow cases. So when I started the tradition of stockings for Christmas for my kids a few years ago, I wanted to put things in that would be the same each year and things that they could look forward to getting each Christmas. And so we usually go for chocolate, underwear, a new toothbrush, little figures or toys, accessories, maybe a small book or a Dvd, and of course stationary.

I think with it being Christmas it’s always nice to get something a little out of the ordinary and something a little more exciting than maybe they would buy with pocket money, and this can certainly be found in smiggle…

For Megs she will be getting a fluffy diary with padlock, scented erasers, colour changing pencils (£4.50) and a “watch this space” watch, which will be so much fun for her. I absolutely love this watch as it looks like a funky bracelet until you press a button and have the time flash up. Its a very exciting piece of merchandise for £13!

The Colour changing pencils are in a league of their own, and the diary and scented erasers remind me so much of being a kid myself. For a funky little girl like Megs they are a perfect surprise from Santa!

And then for Ethan there is a funky dinosaur slapband (also scented for £3.50) and a sketch gift pack in racing car design, it retails at £10 and ticks all the boxes for him with the sharpener, highlighters, pencil and ruler! He likes to write notes and practice things from school, as well as pinching daddies highlighters… and the fact its in a lovely case means he can stash more stuff in there and take it to church with us whilst rocking his new wristband!

Smiggle is a cavern of exciting delights where there are things for every budget that will be sure to put a smile on any kids face this Christmas (or Birthday). Their things make for unique gifts for all ages, and we and our friends absolutely love them. As well as having these bits for the kids stockings, I am also currently stalking their drinks bottles as I really love them too, and contemplating whether to get one each for the kids as a stocking extra??!! I could spend a tonne in store as its all so cool. So if you do not have one close by then grab a cuppa, pull up a chair and take a look at their website – its definitely worth your time!

I’ve often walked passed smiggle but never been in! I might have to venture in with my daughter as I think she would love so much in there! #MarvMondays

I have a serious stationery addiction. One which I hope to pass on to my daughter. A stocking full of stationery would be a dream. #marvmondays

This takes me back to being 14! I have always loved stationery and would count my pens and pencils after every lesson to make sure I had none missing. We have just had a Smiggle store open near us and I can literally spend hours in there. I’m sure the kids are going to move their new bits! #MarvMondays
