ION-Sei Electric Toothbrush | Review & Giveaway

Perhaps we are a little old fashioned in our house, but neither myself or Nathan have ever had an electric toothbrush in all of our years of marriage! Instead, we have been content with the good old traditional brushes. But then, Nathan recently tried the ION-Sei electric toothbrush– a remarkable sleek Electric Toothbrush with unique IONIC Technology which helps to suppress the bacteria that cause plaque and cavities and things changed! The ION-Sei is the only electric toothbrush available with this technology and its new to the UK. Nathan is loving the difference it has made to life and to his oral health, and it is easy to see why it has been highly commended in the Best Dental Product Category of GQ Grooming Awards 2020!

What is ION-Sei and How is it different?

ION-Sei is the latest creation from Sanyei – an international company based in Japan. The company is known for its outstanding craftsmanship and innovative lifestyle products and, with the thought and care that has gone into the ION-Sei toothbrush, they hope it will revolutionize the oral care market in the world.

The holistic design of the ION-Sei toothbrush is inspired by Japanese culture and is ultra modern and sleek. It is different to other electric toothbrushes because it’s patented Ionic technology controls plaque bacteria from forming, which means that teeth can be cleaned to a professional level using the power and process of photocatalysis.

Basically teeth and plaque naturally have a negative charge. Saliva contains a positive charge. This “opposite attracts” relationship is what binds plaque to teeth. When the ION-Sei toothbrush is activated, a photocatalytic reaction occurs. UV LED Light bounces off the titanium bar, generating negatively-charged ions. The mouth is then flooded with the negatively-charged ions, which electrically attract away the plaque – This means the teeth are charged to repel plaque and the plaque is unable to bind to the teeth.

Our Verdict

Having never had an electric toothbrush before, it is difficult to compare this to others on the market. But, with that said, the IONIC technology speaks for itself and really nothing else can compare to how well this is designed to clean your teeth/mouth. The package contains 2 heads (one softer than the other) the handle and charger.

Nathan has seen a big difference since using it; its soft brush is gentle on his gums and teeth and offers a much better clean than previously. He commented that it left his mouth with a bit of a tingle and he loves getting a better clean with less effort on his part, as the brush does all the work!

The ION-Sei retails at about £120, which in some ways is higher end for a toothbrush and day to day I would be tempted to say it was pricey. However, as we approach Christmas, I would be more than happy to pay that as a birthday/Christmas gift for someone special (like my hubby) because it is lovingly crafted and uses technology like nothing else on the market. It is a great little gadget with massive health benefits, a combination of which would make for a lovely gift!

Why not consider giving your loved ones the gift of a supportive, holistic oral care system, which offers a superior clean using state-of-the-art ionic technology. Or even better – treat yourself! Nath loves the ION-Sei and I am sure you and your loved ones will too.
