A night at the Raddison – Telford

This weekend we had the rare opportunity of a night away – Kid free!
I have been planning out #6 anniversary for a good year or 2 and knew with it being “Iron” that Telford and Iron bridge would be the perfect choice. Unfortunately in October (our actual anniversary) we were both ill with viruses and seasonal flu and spent most of the weekend wrapped up in bed with lemsips! Since that dreadful let down of a weekend, the Park Inn Radisson invited us back at a later date to enjoy and celebrate our anniversary, and having spent our wedding night at a Radisson hotel previously we had high hopes.

We were greeted by 2 lovely girls who took interest in us and offered natural chit chat and local recommendations of lovely things to check out to make our stay extra special, and after a 3 hr drive with Friday night traffic, it was so lovely to chat to them whilst they checked us in.

We were booked into a standard room, but it had everything (and more) that the 2 of us hoped for. It really was lovely … The bathroom was lush, the shower gorgeous…And despite being so close to the road we barley heard a peep, and I especially loved the back lights over the bed, the black out curtains and squishy pillows that meant I slept like baby!

The decor was beautifully modern throughout, clean, and lovely helpful people at every turn. The breakfast was amazing, a wide selection and of course an invitation to over indulge!

WP_20151212_12_11_31_ProGoing away is great at the best of times, but as a parent it is something you crave sometimes. We often will say “uhhh we really need a night away”, for some peace, relaxation and rejuvenation, and since being married it was our goal to always do this on our Wedding Anniversary and Valentines. I loved our little night away and visit to Telford for #6 Anniversary, and in hindsight I am kinda glad that we waited to take this little trip when we did, as we’ve been able to enjoy all of the lovely Christmas decorations too!
WP_20151212_09_33_56_ProThe Park Inn was the perfect choice for our anniversary, with it being straight off the motorway it was super easy to find and only 3.5 miles from where we planned to explore and so it was VERY convenient… it has some beautiful sights on its doorstep and some very comfortable and beautiful rooms to rest before a day of adventures!

NB: We received a complimentary night away from the Radisson with Breakfast for our Anniversary, to which we were most grateful. All thoughts, opinions and pictures are my own

Sounds like an amazing night. We have not done a night at a hotel just the two of us yet.

I love that you linked Ironbridge in with your 6th wedding anniversary. What a fab idea and I am now going to look up what 15 is for next year. Sounds like you had a lovely time away. I love going away for the night with the hubby. Its just a chance to recharge those much needed batteries especially at this time of year. And hotel breakfasts are just the best xx
