You know me – I love a good animal print number! My latest addition to my wardrobe (that I most likely won’t been seen in until after I have had baby now) is this lush blue satin midi animal print dress from New look – that is also currently half price (hello bargain!).
Isn’t it lovely?
My husband bought this dress for my birthday (with a few hints – obvs) and it is a piece that makes me really happy to have. I have been looking for a pleated satin dress for a while now after seeing a rather expensive one in a shop window in York one day! I loved it immediately and it made me want something a little more classy in my wardrobe too.
This dress offers that on a budget, whilst still being “me” and that makes me really happy! I love that it is colourful, classy, timeless and modest and I look forward to an occasion when I can dress up and wear it for reals!
The bright cobalt blue/animal print mix in satin is so eye catching and beautiful. This shade of blue is a colour I really like to wear (as well as oranges and reds) and it is simply gorgeous. The animal print makes it “cool” and the colour will brighten up any day (or room) when you wear it. I love mixing colour and prints and this dress ticks all the boxes on that front (not to mention the bit of bling in the belt! Oooo Hello).
I really like the length too, little gold belt and pleated skirt which all bring a timeless look; this makes me happy that I will hopefully be wearing this for years to come on various occasions. The length, fabric and style also make it a generally flattering and comfortable dress to wear – and modest too – which is always a winner for me.
I love that it can be worn all year round either with heels, boots or mules and that the sleeves make it cool and comfortable! It is so versatile for any occasion (though for me I want to keep it as a special one) and is just so cool and pretty! This dress is certainly a beaut and one I welcome into my wardrobe with open arms – Thanks Mr Smith, you did well, It so nice to wear and looks very pretty too.
I can’t seem to find the blue version of it now, but the good news is that this dress also comes in brown, off white and my personal second fave – Red! But be quick, with them being half price at only £14.99 each I think they will be flying off the rails!
