When a fellow school mum tells you that there’s a New Look closing down and everything is under £3 (yes really!), you know it’s time to abandon all of your plans for the day and head on over to grab a piece of the action.
This was literally how our morning played out today – one minute on the school run and then boom – next thing you know my friend and I are cruising on over to Hull to grab some deals; because sadly, another store down Whitefriargate is closing down and everything is on clearance!
This time it is New Look and until Saturday all of their remaining stock is £3 and under. There are tonnes of tops, skirts, dresses, jumpsuits and knitwear all for the incredible bargain of £3 or less. I was totally in my element! So much so that I almost hyperventilated and had to pause and take it all in when I first entered the shop, because I could not believe how flipping cheap it all was and, how lovely the majority of things were.
Our plan of action saw us scout out a side of the shop each and grab anything that was in our sizes (we are the same size so it worked well!) and then reconvene at the other end of the shop and rummage through what we might like each. We were in there for almost 2 hours and could have quite easily have had just a little bit longer to rummage through more dresses and jumpsuits but, we just couldn’t carry or handle any more! The bonus was that it was tidy and it wasn’t too busy either.
We both got plenty for under £20! I spent £19 and this included 2 items for my sisters birthday tomorrow, a top for my niece and then the following for me – all of which I flipping love and has updated my spring look for only £13!
£2 shoes
All the shoes are down to £2 – if you are a 7 or 8, or a 4 then there were options a plenty. Being a common 6, not so much. But, I did swipe these lovely silver heels for only 2 quid to go with an array of dresses, skirts and the navy jumpsuit I have!
£2 Tops
All of the tops are between £1 and £2 – Yes really!! I got 3, but could have potentially bought a couple more with a little more rummaging. These included an awesome sparkly number which I love (casual and chic!) and then a cute blouse for the summer with little buttons. I am not usually a floral person, but this one wasn’t too in your face floral and I absolutely love both the colour and style of it to wear with denim shorts or my jeans and heels!
Finally in the top department was a greeny soft and chill long sleeve ribbed top to wear with jeans and trousers and most likely my monochrome skirts.
All of these tops will go with so many things I have and so will be well worn. For 2 quid a piece I am tots loving it!
£3 Jumpers/Cardi’s
As soon as I saw this yellow roll neck jumper I had to have it. The yellow and white were fresh and spring like and the style of it felt retro (winner!). It was only £3 and will look great under my dungarees or with some nice trousers as a work look. I also bagged this mint chunky cardi (also £3 – obvs) and that will be lovely for Spring too with a Tee, jeans and pumps! It is such a gorgeous colour combo and feels super soft too. £3 each – goodness me, what a steal!
Dresses were £1 – £3 and jumpsuits £3.The dresses were so lovely; many of them in what I would call “table cloth” style (I hope you know what I mean by that!). I kind of bypassed the skirts now I think of it, but most were midi length and £2. I probably should have grabbed some for friends ha!
Anyway, It was such a fun morning and whilst I am sad to see another shop leave that part of the high street down in Hull, I can’t complain how bargainous my day was! I hope if you live local this has been useful to you and that you too can grab this opportunity to also grab some deals from New Look (before Saturday).
I am so tempted to jump on a bus and go and have a look. What fantastic bargains you got! Those shoes are amazing for that price. x
Hi Mary – where in hull is that new look?
